Grab your tickets today, so you can see this fun take on the iconic character Cinderella.

The Plot

Ever After is a take on the classic Cinderella story, but it has some interesting twists. Instead of Cinderella, the main character’s name is Danielle. Danielle’s widower father marries a woman named Rodmilla. As you likely expected, Rodmilla has two daughters.

It’s not long before Danielle’s father dies of a heart attack, and she is left to live with her stepmother and stepsisters. She is eventually forced into servitude at the family home when she has a chance meeting with Prince Henry, who just happens to be friends with Leonardo da Vinci.

That’s just part of the story, though. Danielle also risks it all to save a friend, leading to some of the musical’s most dramatic moments.

About the Musical

If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll be happy to know that much of the dialogue makes it on stage. The characters will still recite your favorite lines, but there will be songs, as well. Many of the songs are heartfelt and showcase how the characters are feeling. One of the best is the song that Danielle’s father sings to her right before he dies. You can really feel the emotion in this one.
